Nikkie's dinner

's fashion shows NIKKIE are always a party. After the previous editions in Huys ten Donck and The Harbor Club, we were really looking forward to this spectacle. This time the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam was transformed into a real American food hall full of food trucks with typical American snacks such as fresh fries, hot dogs, milkshakes and popcorn – served by beautiful girls on roller skates. Anyone who wanted to could pose with one of the many old-timers in the second room.

After everyone had feasted on the delicious snacks and drinks, the big screen counted down to the moment we had been curious about since the invitation (''Something big to share, you better be there''). Nikkie once again exceeded our expectations: Kate Moss becomes the new international face. 'A dream come true', says Nikkie Plessen. When everyone had taken place around the runway, this special guest was escorted to her place at the last minute by Nikkie, between Karin Sweerink and Natasha Poly. Normally we are not that starstruck, but this was really cool. Kate Moss will be featured in the international NIKKIE campaign from autumn 2017. In addition to this big news, Nikkie also announced the launch of a new online platform called Yours Today.

The spring/summer 2017 collection

The collection was presented in front of the decor of Nikkie's dinner, a brightly colored bar again in American style. The show opened with a rock & roll theme: black dresses set with silver studs, necklaces with stars and crosses and cool biker boots. Lots of all-black with a colorful embroidery here and there. This was followed by feminine dresses in colored geometric stripe patterns, again combined with a leather biker jacket and boots. American streetwear was seen in paint splattered boyfriend jeans, paired with a cropped bomber jacket. But also in the destroyed denim mini skirts and shorts. Of course there were also many stripes in the collection, now iconic for the brand. One of our favorite looks was shown by Dutch top model Bregje Heinen: a white flared dress topped with a biker jacket with silver studs. The perfect rock & roll chic combination for the summer!

The new NIKKIE collection will be available with us soon. Stay tuned!
